
Soprano Anna Morfidou was born in Athens - Greece. From a very young age she started her musical studies on the piano, under Mr. K. Kydoniatis’ supervision and guidance, as well as her ballet training. At the age of 15 she was honoured with the first award at the Hellenic Classical Song Competition (Young People’s Chorus and Orchestra) in Athens and soon she appeared as a soloist under conductor N. Lasithiotakis, performing Mozart’s “Εxsultate, Jubilate” and “Stabat Mater” by G. Pergolesis at the Atheneum Venue of Athens.
Anna further studied classical singing, piano and advanced theory of music at the College of Southeastern Europe and at the Hellenic Musical Academy, where she was granted her respective degrees and certificates, with the highest honours. Her opera acting and motion studies took place at the Atheneum Melodramatic School at Mrs. C. Rouggeri class.
Her singing training includes D. Katsaris, B. Giannoulakos, Carmen F. Forti and the famous Greek baritone Kostas Paskalis lessons. Her musical education further include participation in seminars and Mastercasses in Greece and abroad, led among other, by N. Zachariou, K. Karatzas, Aris Christofellis and Cheryl Studer.
During her stay in Milan, Anna worked alongside conductors E. Zucca and Al. Ferrari Music director of the orchestra “Academia delle Arti e dei Mestrieri della Scala di Milano”. Her British debut was in 2006 at “Gadogan Hall” in London, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Al. Ferrari.

- On her repertoire are included first performances world premieres of Greek composers as George Minas’ “Three-act of Sentiments” for Wind orchestra and Soprano at the Athens National Opera House with the Μunicipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Athens in point of anniversary for 120 years after orchestra’s establishment
